Red Thread Stories is a Michigan based storytelling production company hosting live storytelling slam events for hire. RED Thread Stories is available to host at your venue, bar/restaurant, office party, charity event, college night or private party to bring you an evening of real, unexpected, authentic and live storytelling.
Invite us or join us for one of our open to the public events where we offer a unique, entertaining and guaranteed wonderful night of stories presented in straight up, spoken and very real fashion! Think Storyokee™ not Karaoke!
Since we often get this question we thought we’d answer it for the nervously curious. “Do I have to tell a story?” No, absolutely not. Only those who put their names into the hat will be invited to share stories on our stage.
If you’re considering telling a story at one of our events please remember that all stories must be 5 minutes or less. We will post a story theme for guidance and brainstorming but if the RED Thread of story leads you in another direction that’s just fine with us.
Our objective is to encourage storytellers to bring stories that are meaningful, and stories that expand the hearts and minds of those of us in the audience. If you’ve got a tale, bring it and tell it!
Stories are judged by an audience panel and will be evaluated on how well they are told, whether or not they fit the format of story, and on whether or not they are a truthful and personal event experienced by the storyteller. No trips to outer space in an alien ship or that famous old family favorite tale that Uncle Harold used to tell at parties. The stories must be true and yours!
Your hostess Karen Czarnik is endorsed by the Michigan Arts & Humanities Council as a member of the MHC Touring Artist Directory. To apply for financial grant support for your nonprofit event go to http://michiganhumanities.org/programs/touring/
Hire us or join us for the most unique, engaging, and guaranteed entertaining experience that will have your patrons, friends, families, club members, etc., asking when’s the next story night!
